Danbury Elementary School is seeking a waiver from the Texas Education Agency to service the campus through a Title I Schoolwide program. The campus currently services students through a Title I Targeted Assistance program. Targeted Assistance campuses must identify students meeting certain eligibility requirements in math and reading and provide services only to those identified students. A Title I Schoolwide program would allow the campus to offer services to all students on the campus on an as needed basis and provide training to all teachers to assist eligible students. At this time, Danbury Elementary School is open to public comment regarding the waiver. All comments and questions should be directed to Carol Shefcik at 979-922-8787. The public will also have an opportunity to provide comments during the grade level parent meetings beginning August 30, 2010.
