DISD Schools and Administration Offices will be open and back to a regular schedule on Monday, February 22nd.

DISD will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, February 17th due to another winter storm forecast for Tuesday night, predicted hazardous travel and the unpredictability off the electric grid, All Danbury ISD facilities will close and all activities are canceled.
 
Further delays or closures will be made on a day-to-day basis per TEA rules, as local conditions warrant.

For the safety of our students and staff, due to continuous power outages and extreme winter weather conditions, Danbury ISD schools and offices will be closed on Tuesday, February 16. There will be no extra-curricular activities or practices. Danbury ISD campuses will not open for in-person learning until weather and power conditions allow.  Virtual learning is halted until electricity and internet are restored in our area.  
 
Per TEA rules, school officials must make a day-to-day decision to determine when schools will reopen.  
 
Decisions of school openings will be posted on school websites and social media.

Schools and Offices – Closed

Monday – February 15th â€“ Student and Staff Holiday – President’s Day

Tuesday – February 16th â€“ Remote Learning Day

Danbury ISD will be remote learning on Tuesday, February 16th due to predictions of freezing precipitation.  This may be extended if weather and road conditions continue to be dangerous.

Elementary and Middle School students will be given paper packets which will be due upon the return to school on Wednesday.  Failure to return a completed packet will result in an unexcused absence and a grade of 0.  Teachers will be available by Google Classroom or Google Voice during your student’s class period if help is needed.

Please note a change in plan for HS students. 

High School students will be expected to attend their classes asynchronously.  Teachers should be online/available on Tuesday to answer any questions students may have.

Elementary and Middle School students will be given paper packets which will be due upon the return to school on Wednesday.  Failure to return a completed packet will result in an unexcused absence and a grade of 0.  Middle School & High School Teachers will be available by Google Classroom or Google Voice during your student’s class period if help is needed and Elementary Staff can be contacted via Dojo or district email. High School Students may be given assignments through Google Classroom and Teachers may be contacted through Google Classroom or by phone (Google Voice Number) if provided in Google classroom
