Hi! My name is Rhonda Wendel. I am the 5th grade Science and Social Studies teacher. I have taught in Danbury since 2001. I began in 6th grade for four years and in 5th grade the rest of the time. I am the UIL Academic coordinator for Elementary. My favorite things to do are traveling, fishing, and coloring in my spare time.

I graduated from Texas State in San Marcos in 1986 and worked in the "real world" for years as well as be a stay-at-home mom. Teaching is not something I ever thought I would do, but when people say it is a "calling", IT IS! I love what I do! Your children are very important and when they come to my class I treat them with the utmost importance. I want them to be the best they can be!
